Founder & CEO

Andrey Obushev is a Senior Executive and Nuclear Engineer with over 20 years of leadership experience managing mega-projects in the International Nuclear Power Industry. His distinguished career spans key contributions to the Russian ITER design team, executive roles as Technical Director and Director for Licensing and Quality for the construction management of the Akkuyu NPP in Turkey and Paks II NPP in Hungary. Throughout his journey, he has masterfully led cross-functional international teams and successfully negotiated complex safety cases with strict global regulators.

Today, this uncompromising background in Nuclear Power Engineering serves as the foundation for his technology startup: OpenSky Kft.

As a Bauman Moscow State Technical University alumnus with a lifelong passion for coding and analytics, Andrey founded OpenSky with a bold vision: to inject the absolute highest standards of Nuclear Safety, rigorous Quality Assurance, and System Engineering into the world of enterprise AI.

What will I be writing about here?

While my startup, OpenSky Kft., is focused on integrating the power of AI into the design and safety assessment of complex technical systems, this blog isn’t strictly about that. This is my personal space to share my thoughts on work, hobbies, and lifestyle — the insights and tools that help me live and work more productively.

I’m nearly 50, and I believe I have something to share. I hope you’ll find something new and valuable here.

I will certainly touch upon AI, but for deep dives into the technology, I recommend the curated collections in my favorite Medium Digest. Instead, I’ll focus on effective management, workflow optimization, healthy living, and anti-aging practices. And, of course, my active pursuits: hiking, surfing, and motorcycle touring.
